About Mckenzie Kvalsten

The designs are from my original oil paintings that I create in my Bozeman studio at the base of the Rocky Mountains. My paintings focus on how animal's personalities come out when they feel safe. We often see portrayals of animals running in fear, but when they feel safe, they act and often even look different. People are a lot like this. When they are comfortable we get to see a side of them that they otherwise might not show. I like to celebrate this side of life, the point at which animals and humans are allowed to thrive.
