Kate Dumbleton, a Welsh Jewelry designer, studied Silversmithing and Jewelry in London and set up business there in the mid 1990s. She showed at London Fashion Week, gained international retail and press exposure. Diverse celebrities such as Kylie Minogue and Peter Capaldi's Doctor Who have worn her jewelry. Kate makes eclectic collections in silver, gold and semi precious gemstones. Inspiration comes from such sources as Celtic heritage and legends, nature, her family history, art movements and futuristic themes - all with a contemporary, fashionable twist. The jewelry is made with as much care for the environment as possible, of recycled silver and gold and ethically sourced gemstones. Kate returned to Wales 17 years ago where she lives an environmentally conscious lifestyle ('tread softly' is her motto), and runs her small business in Penarth, a picturesque Victorian seaside town near Cardiff, south Wales. Being so close to the sea is a good for the soul inspiration! Kate has designed jewelry for many leading companies including Next, DCK, Clogau, Swarovski and produces exclusive collections for National Museum Wales. She has taught jewelry making to people of all ages and loves to learn new techniques. To celebrate 20+ years of creating jewelry, Kate is delighted to launch her shop at Faire with favorite pieces from her archives and brand new collections available to order. Each piece is made by Kate in the UK and comes gift wrapped in eco packaging.
