About Treacle George (Muurla)

I'm Laurence from TREACLE GEORGE and I'm proud to be the exclusive UK distributor for Finnish brand Muurla Design MUURLA - A Functional Design House Muurla’s story began in the small Finnish town of Muurla, where it initially focused on creating mouth-blown glass. Over the years, Muurla has transformed into a modern design house, blending Finnish design with everyday functionality. Its collections reflect a dedication to quality and practicality, crafted to enhance both the special occasions and simple moments of daily life. A little bit about me: I’m an old 'travelling salesman' (in the nicest sense - not the double-glazing type) with three decades of experience representing designer homewares brands from Europe, supplying the best retail shops around the UK. Away from work, I’m an enthusiastic hobby cook.
