About Empress Hot Sauce

At Empress Hot Sauce, we craft Western-style hot sauces using Taiwanese fruits and ingredients. Our founders Jane and Denner left NYC for Taiwan, Jane’s home country, where they were inspired by the vivid flavours of the fruit at their local wet market. After experimenting, they created their first sauce - Irwin Mango - and officially launched Empress Hot Sauce in 2020. Today, we offer five unique sauces that blend Eastern and Western flavors, reflecting our two cultures. All of our sauces are vegan, gluten-free, low in sodium, and under 70 calories per bottle. With a full range of spice levels, they suit every palate. Our sauces have also been featured in major publications including The New Yorker, Eater, and Veg Out Magazine, demonstrating the brand’s credibility and growing recognition.
