SÒLAS means light, brightness and enlightenment in Scottish Gaelic - my Scottish heritage is important to me and this simple, pure word fitted perfectly with what I was trying to achieve - the cleanest burning candles on the market. We have chosen to use coconut and rapeseed wax for our luxurious hand poured candles, because it is one of the most sustainable waxes available. This wax is blended in Europe and is made from rapeseed oil and coconut oil and nothing else. It is completely free from paraffin, soy, palm, beeswax and synthetic additives. Soy is one of the most space hungry crops on earth, and contributes towards vast areas of deforestation worldwide. Learning how this product works when combined with quality fragrance oils has been a labour of love. Every combination is fully tested to give rich scents, long burn times and aesthetically pleasing candles for your home. We have since added wax melts, reed diffusers and fragrance sprays to our offering, with the same level of fastidious testing and handmade ethical production. All of our products are 100% vegan.
