About R.R -rhoads.riley Candles

My name is Sarah! My Husband’s name is Andrew and we have an adorable 10 year old Newfoundland named Moose! Andrew is in the process of becoming a distiller making Whiskey / Bourbon. To do this process legally it takes some time to get through the red tape. So we found we could make fragrance oil with a still! However that would be a lot of lavender to make a small amount. You bet we already bought the candle supplies so we got fragrance oil as well and made candles. We have loved to learn and grow together building this brand together! When I think of candles I think of relaxation ... or a little R&R - rhoads.riley. A fun play on both of our names. Along with our families are huge pillars in our lives. Constatnly supporting all our ideas and willing to help out at moments notice. Andrew’s day job is a software engineer… so basically our tech guy! My day job is a nurse. I have just recently left the ICU beside for a much needed break. Unfortunately with the current nursing shortages it accelerated my need to leave the ICU. Being in charge of the sickest patients in the state and being dangerously understaffed was taking a toll on my mental health. I truly do love being a ICU nurse and wasn’t ready to leave bedside full time … however like I tell my patients family members you have to take care of yourself first before you can efficiently help other.Little did I know this candle business was exactly what I needed to help my transition from the ICU to clinic nursing!Read their story
