Hello, I’m Karen, the founder of macSoap, a small, independent business nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. From my workshop in the breathtaking hills above Loch Ness, I handcraft small-batch soaps and skincare that celebrate the beauty of nature and the heritage of Scotland. At the heart of macSoap are Scottish botanicals, many of which I personally hand-pick from our family croft. Our meadows have been left untouched for decades, allowing wild flora to thrive naturally. These botanicals infuse our products with a unique connection to the Highlands — and with every bar of soap, I can proudly say, “Made in Scotland.” The name macSoap holds a personal meaning. It reflects our Scottish roots and is also inspired by Mac, one of our three beloved rescue dogs — loyal German Wirehaired Pointers who are part of the heart and soul of our business. In fact, Mac’s hand-drawn portrait, sketched by me, appears on our labels.
