Pura's 600 ml (20 fl oz) bottles contain naturally filtered volcanic water. Our water is birthed in the sun-kissed clouds of Central America, falling through the ancient, volcanic rainforests of Costa Rica. The numerous layers of volcanic rock and mineral sediment pull our water into the earth, filtering it slowly over the course of 300 years. It rises 2,000 feet and emerges in our spring, untouched by mankind. Every drop is packed with revitalizing minerals that restore your skin, body, and mind. Above the Juan Castro Blanco National Park, also known as Parque de Aguas (Park of Waters.) Fog and precipitation fall into the rainforest, absorbing into the florae and terrain where the water begins its journey to the ancient aquifer that rests beneath the forest floor. Highly permeable subterranean layers within the fragmented igneous lava facilitate passage for ground water. These porous channels, formed by volcanic activity, filter and purify the water molecules, drawing out impurities as it heads deeper into the earth. It can take up to 300 years for the water molecules to travel 2000 meters to the ancient aquifer, before flowing back to the surface, through a spring, where it’s bottled at the source. Some competitors filter their water three or more times, stripping it of its life-sustaining minerals. Pura undergoes a single filtration process which maintains the water’s natural composition while upholding FDA and FSC standards.
