ABOUT FISHBONE DESIGNS Chris Higgins designs and creates all the pieces in this collection. Each one-of-a-kind item is fabricated using sterling silver, brass, copper, and gold. Unique stones and gemstones from around the world are highlighted by the textures of the metals. Fishbone Designs reflects my mixed Japanese and Cherokee heritage with a balance of colors and shapes to create simple yet striking jewelry. I enjoy working with sterling silver because it has an energy that changes with the design through textures and colors. The stones I use are precious and semi-precious gems and polished natural stones from wonderful lapidaries around the world. Chris has silversmith training from Moore College of Arts and Design in Philadelphia, Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Penland School of Crafts in Penland, NC.
