About Tony Fernandes Design

Tony is a Yorkshire born self-taught artist whose only interest as a child was in making marks and squiggles on paper, his parents made sure there were always lots of crayons, paints and paper to doodle on and after attempting to do a still life of an orange aged 6, he admitted the result resembled a wardrobe, a year later he did a painting of a cat which ended up looking like a hairy chair, progress was slow! Since the 1980’s he established himself as a unique graphic artist first coming to International notice in 1988 when the British Government presented his works as part of their official gift to the Australian Government during the Bicentennial Celebrations. His highly original approach to this subject matter has made his work much sought after and is held in private and public collections.Read their story
