When I was pregnant with my first born, Lily, I was nervous and concerned about the effects of my pregnancy lasting long after I had given birth, particularly in regard to stretch marks. You see, when I was younger, I had an unhealthy relationship with food which led to me being significantly overweight. I was able to lose the weight following lifestyle changes, but still had stretch marks from the fluctuation. I wanted to treat them and tried many different products available on the market, unfortunately, not seeing much of a result. I was desperate for something to work, and my desperation became my inspiration! Once I found out I was pregnant, I had a new mission. To not only find an effective way to treat stretch marks but doing so in a way that would be healthy and safe for my delicate skin and growing baby. It troubled me to see how many brands promoted products that have ingredients known to be potentially hazardous for developing babies. I needed clean and effective skincare. After extensive research and dozens of batches of butters and oils, I finally perfected the recipes that would be the transformative flagship products for Love By Jade.
