About The Herbal Sanctuary

Get cozy- because this is a hell of a doozy. My name is Ashley, and I am the creator of this new curious venture. The Herbal Sanctuary was born from a desire to impart wisdom and self-advocacy for one’s own body, mind, and soul. The goal is to create products that are as natural as possible, ethical in how they are sourced, and effective. The idea of the Sanctuary came back in April of 2022, where I was still a substitute teacher, and feeling unfulfilled by my career choices. I had a sharp eye for plants, a background in environmental sciences, and a need to do something where I felt I could grow a future for my now husband and I. At the time we lived in Washington state, and had no clue where the universe was going to guide us. After 6 months of research, manifestations, and an outpouring of support from both sides of our families, we moved our happy butts to the state of Tennessee. Why Tennessee of all places? Eventually, the Sanctuary is destined to grow into a medicinal herb farm. Herbs, especially medicinal herbs, tend to enjoy the climate that this part of the country can provide. We also loved the entrepreneurial spirit that this area exudes. When you buy from The Herbal Sanctuary, you are supporting not only a woman-owned business but a business with a purpose. Be it providing healing salves in the present time, or buying dried herbs from a regenerative farm in the future, the amount of love and care woven into every aspect is apparent.Read their story
