Lamar Jones was born in Camden, NJ and raised in South Florida. Since migrating to The Rio Grande Valley, Texas, Lamar has taken an idea and created an International gourmet BBQ Sauce Brand. An idea that only came about because he couldn’t find a sauce to fall in love with. With the help and support of The Jank Nation, Lamar has turned his idea into a household name. Lamar is a father, self-published author, student of life and an entrepreneur. A musician that fell into the BBQ Sauce industry, his goal is to continue to grow his philanthropic efforts. Lamar is also an Emmy nominated Recording artist. His brand The Jank Gourmet BBQ Sauce was a Quest for Texas Best finalist and a two-time McAllen Chamber Innovation grant winner. Two accolades that Lamar is sincerely humbled and appreciative of are being awarded the Supplier Diversity – Supplier of the Year Award and forging a deal as the official barbecue sauce of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The story is still being written. His mission is to inspire and educate families about health being the key to wealth, regardless of their socio-economic background.
