About FolkHouse Creative

Meagen Russell is the owner of FolkHouse Creative. She is currently a one-woman show, mom of three kids ages 6,4 &2, and recent graphic design graduate. FolkHouse Creative was born out of a desire to make meaningful & beautiful things for spaces. Meagen has always felt that a welcoming & cozy environment can be a place of refuge and FolkHouse Creative seeks to make things that foster that environment wherever the pieces end up. FolkHouse Creative mostly consists of art prints that are hand-illustrated and designed by Meagen. The business has started with a new line (that will continue to be added to) of baby & toddler tees. These tees will more than likely be phrases that are inspirational TO the child wearing it. A lot of times, children's clothes are made for the adults that read it- but the purpose of this new line are for the words to be repeated to the child wearing them, you are "strong like a girl" because girls are strong, You are brave, etc. All of the art prints and paper goods are printed, packaged, and shipped from the in-house studio. All of the tees are screen-printed in house as well. It's important to Meagen that FolkHouse Creative stays very handmade with the owner being involved in all aspects of designing, production, customer service, etc. That is what gives companies like this a special touch.
