About Sockabu

My name is Abbie Boudreau, and I am the creator and CEO of Sockabu. As a veteran TV journalist for ABC News (Good Morning America and Nightline), I've always been inspired by the stories of entrepreneurs who create products to solve everyday problems. As a mom of two little ones, it drove me crazy when my kids would slip and fall around the house, while wearing their socks during play time. Traditional socks were a nightmare on our hardwood and tile floors - and socks with non-skid stickies weren't much better. I created Sockabu socks to give kids the very best traction - using the natural traction of their cute toes to help them grip the ground during play time. Then, with one, seamless flip, kids can cover their toes for warmth and comfort. I'm no longer holding my breath and bracing for the next slip and fall.
