About Urban Gypsea Jewelry

When I lived in New Orleans, I met a maker who was laser cutting her own jewelry— this was the first time I realized that I could be a maker behind quality pieces of jewelry like what I enjoyed wearing. I couldn’t afford to learn at the time but this desire stayed loud in the back of my mind. A few years later, I began dabbling in woven earrings, then began trying to metalsmith. This is how Urban Gypsea Jewelry was born. My handmade pieces are gold filled or sterling silver with gemstones! I recycle all of my scrap material, have no plastic in my packaging (except the tape), and I use reusable/recyclable and compostable materials in my packaging.
