About Transcendent Active

Transcendent Active is more than just a clothing brand; it is a community of women who strive to access their higher power and make the world a better place. All while wearing eco-conscious athleisure that just happens to be modest activewear! Aja studied fashion design at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY. After graduation, she worked for Fila, Champion, and Converse all of which brought about her passion for designing activewear, yet opened her mind to the negative impact fast fashion has on the environment. Completing her 200-hour yoga teacher training inspired her passion for wellness and mindfulness. That, combined with her strong ties to her faith and her dedication to helping the planet, were the driving forces that led to the creation of Transcendent Active; the first ever, sustainable modest activewear brand. It was the Covid pandemic that really opened the door for her to take a leap of faith. Transcendent Active launched with one product, the All Day Active skirt on August 13, 2020. After selling out in two weeks, Aja knew her idea and hard work was for the right reason. Slowly, she began adding additional pieces to the All Day Active collection which cater to women of all sizes, shapes, colors and faiths. Aja believes that every choice we make can impact and, ultimately, repair the world. She never compromises on her values and believes that style and quality can and should be a part of the new ethical fashion movement. Read their story
