About Artesanía La Palma

Artesanía La Palma has been dedicated since the beginning of the 20th century to the wholesale trade of the art of palm, called Llata by the Mallorcans. In the beginning, it marketed the production of the inhabitants of Capdepera and Artá, but over time, due to the drastic decrease in local production, it began to import the work of North Africa, the cradle of this craft adopted by the Mallorcans after the Muslim occupation during the Middle Ages. We currently sell Llata de Mallorca and products imported from Africa, both made by hand without any mechanical process and with totally natural materials.Read their story
