About Tamana Candle Co.

Established in 2021, A self-owned business that produces hand-poured 100% soy wax candles with hand crafted scents made from essential oil blends. At Tamana Candle Co. we strongly believe in producing natural, non-toxic, aromatherapeutic candles for our customers to support their individual wellness and health needs. Tamana is the Malagasy word (the language of Madagascar) that translates into English meaning "to feel at home". From 2019-2020, I served in the Peace Corps in Madagascar as an educational volunteer. In Malagasy culture it is very important that they make their guest feel at home or Tamana. I was frequently asked by my friends, coworkers, and host family if I was Tamana in Madagascar and specifically in my village. My goals since returning home is to educate others about my experience in Madagascar and about their unique culture. With that, I hope my candles can make you feel Tamana wherever you may burn them. ​Read their story
