About van Gülpen

Our coffee roaster was founded in 1832 and is the oldest family-run roasting company in the world. We now have the 6th generation of the family at the roaster. Of course, we are also a bit proud of this, and the long tradition is a very important part of our identity. But above all, we are also a modern and progressive roasting plant with a preference for modern coffees, a great interest in the latest findings and processes, and a strong need for new impulses and ideas. And so the old always meets the new for us. On the one hand, coffee knowledge is passed on from generation to generation. On the other hand, we question ourselves at all times and constantly follow the desire to constantly improve our coffee. In doing so, all aspects of our work can and must be repeatedly questioned and checked for meaningfulness. This is the only way for us to not only maintain our extraordinarily high level, but also to raise it ever further. Read their story
