Emily Sanchez is a small business owner based in San Diego, California. She is the owner, marketer, and everything behind Rose Dose; a brand of organic Moroccan roses. She loves the beauty and aroma of these Damascena Roses, but most importantly the versatility of the herb. They can be used for tea, infusing, garnishing, and for curating beauty and apothecary items. "I believe our lifestyles carry a reflection of who we are and what we love. So why not live life well, with something as natural and beautiful as the rose." In Morocco, the work to obtain local products like Rosa Damascena (Damask Rose) is predominately female. The creation of recent cooperatives in Morocco has given rural women the chance to gain financial independence and improve the quality of life of the entire community. We work closely with those cooperatives who offer natural roses that meet a variety of international organic production, fair trade, and biodiversity requirements.Read their story
