I make my Chocolate Rocky Road on the North coast of Cornwall at my workshop in Newquay. Together with achieving my 14 Taste of the West awards, including 4 out of 4 Gold Awards last year, my ethos is to pack my chocolate using sustainable materials and to run a responsible and ethical business, making more difficult but longer term decisions. I like to combine interesting Flavours with interesting textures to give a unique chocolate experience. I use clear Nature Flex (recycled wood pulp) instead of plastic, which is manufactured in the UK and recycled shape adapting cardboard called Flex Hex ( a Cornish invention) for some of my more fragile items so that they can survive the 3m drop test. I use carbon capture paper in support of the Woodland Trust and natural vegetable ink print, all supplied by a UK based printers, who are champions at innovation and use solar power for their energy. I enjoy innovation and like to pair this with the art of gifting chocolate. There should be a shared joy in the giving of the gift and the eating of the gift! My chocolate is Palm Oil free and I support the Cocoa Horizons programme improving the livelihood of cocoa farmers and their communities around the world through the promotion of sustainable and entrepreneurial farming which protects nature and children. I hope you enjoy Langleys Chocolate Rocky Road. Thank you Amanda
