About Mary Jean

The family moved to Moray in the early 1980s when I was very young. But not so young to not know of the rabbits running around wild in the fields surrounding the rented, disused farm we moved into. During the summers how my older brothers would disappear hours on end into the fields and woods for adventure and I had to stay home, as a girl should. Life shapes you. Living in rural countryside, you and farm animal, close bonds are more real. Not one farm has my family stayed, several in fact. The countryside and rabbits and pheasants and foxes, the deer have been a big part of our lives, growing up.
