About Americano Foods

Although the peanut was first cultivated in the South Americano region over 3,000 years ago, we noticed a bizarre incidence that would in turn inspire the idea for an all-natural peanut butter. Peanuts grew abundantly in Uruguay, yet people felt traditional peanut butter was simply too plain and too heavy in preservatives. We knew nut butters could be better! In 2013, after much trial and error, broken equipment, and taste testing a natural peanut butter company was born in the Malkoon family kitchen. Jeff and Denise set out to local farmers markets. The Americano peanut and almond butter line has since expanded to thousands of physical and online retail locations, including Sprouts, Kroger and many specialty grocers. Our mission is to spread happiness with good-for-you products that are also good for the world! We work closely with social and economic development agencies across the Americas towards a future where no American lives in extreme poverty.Read their story
