Hi, I’m Kathleen Palmeri, the artist behind KPalm. I have always been an artist. Before I could speak, I found my way in the world through drawing, coloring, and painting. Creating art is how I make sense of my world and communicate what I see and feel. I studied Fine Art at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and later earned a Master of Science in Counseling from New York University. While my professional path included working as a guidance counselor in New York City, art has remained the constant thread through every stage of my life. I am also a wife and a mother to five children, which has deeply influenced both who I am and the work I create. My paintings are layered and textured, often centered on strong and powerful figures. I work primarily with palette knives, carving and dragging paint across the canvas to tell stories of growth, resilience, and perfectly imperfect lives. Alongside these modern portraits, I create whimsical tiny surfer paintings inspired by the Jersey Shore, the ocean, and moments of pure joy. My pajama collection is an extension of my artwork, translating my paintings and patterns into wearable pieces. Designed in soft cotton sateen with thoughtful details, the collection brings art, comfort, and beauty into everyday life.Read their story
