About limitedamsterdam

Who are we? We are Simone and Emilia. We met at work, 25 years ago. We’re both working in journalism, making news-items for television. But also, we both had a creative education: in the past; Simone finished Rietveld academy and Emilia did Artemis academy. For years we had the dream of once creating something beautiful together. And that dream became LimitedAmsterdam:) Now we are like Alice in Wonderland, a whole new world of clay, moulds, samples, shipments and so much more! And we looooove it! LimitedAmsterdam LimitedAmsterdam is a brand new tableware startup from Amsterdam. We design and create ceramics together with our fantastic craftsmen and women in Thailand: The prototypes are designed and moulded by us in Amsterdam. Then, the Thai make several moulds out of them. So they can manually pour more items at a time. Then they dip it in glaze manually. Our first collection is called “Hold Me”. It has a grip for your thumb, so it feels super good to just hold them:). The mugs and bowls come in a set, both have a different dent on one side. The XL bowl has two dents for better grip. The new confetti edition of Mug Big comes in sets of 2 or 4.Read their story
