The origins of the TONDA chocolate family date back to 1793, when Mr. Juan Tonda LLoret began to make chocolate exclusively by hand. The family generation continued with two of its four children, on the one hand D. Juan Tonda Soriano and on the other D. Marcos Tonda Soriano. Each of them making their own chocolate. Follow the chocolate tradition with Mr. Juan Tonda Pascual, who formed the company Tonda e Hijos S.R.C., with the trademarks “La Manchegá” and “Elobeya”. The next generation was jointly formed by D. Juan Bta. Tonda Aragonés, Mr. Gaspar Tonda Aragonés and Mr. Juan Tonda Aragonés, whose sons, Mr. Marcos Tonda Tonda and D. Juan Tonda Tonda, once again unite the manufacture of traditional chocolate, creating the well-known trademark of “The Virgin: Great Grandchildren of Marcos Tonda”, emblem of traditional chocolate from Villajoyosa and our predecessor company: Marcos Ronda Ronda.
