My journey began as a sewing business in January 2020, but swiftly evolved into a venture encompassing design and painting of decorations. The turning point arrived with the launch of my signature product, Christmas baubles, in October 2020. The response was overwhelmingly positive, culminating in Etsy featuring them in their Christmas advertising email in November/December 2022. This pivotal moment instilled a newfound confidence in my abilities and reinforced the realization that there was a genuine desire for my creations. A serendipitous mishap involving mistakenly ordered lightning bolt shapes, owing to a mix-up between centimetres and millimetres due to my ADHD and dyslexia, led to an unexpected discovery. Transforming these shapes into earrings through painting proved to be a stroke of inspiration, catapulting me into a realm of endless creative possibilities. My artistic style is characterized by geometric precision, vibrant clashes of colour, and intricate patterns. Expanding beyond earrings, I continue to explore various shapes and sizes, with a promise of more innovations on the horizon. Central to my craft is the use of FSC accredited Birch ply wood, ensuring responsible sourcing from sustainable forestry practices. Lightweight and meticulously hand-painted by myself, each piece is then varnished to guarantee durability and prevent chipping.
