My life has been an amazing adventure which has lead me to starting my own business. Growing up as a child in Canada with a Sri Lankan heritage, we used incense sticks to worship the Gods, specifically, Lord Buddha. Fast forward 30 years, I was living in Gran Canaria and my colleagues and I stumbled across incense sticks. We were so delighted! My absolute favourite fragrance was lavender. It was a way to relax and subconsciously, reunite me with my family, living in Canada. To this day, the simple act of lighting a stick brings me to the present moment and gives gratitude to my ancestors and to life. The name “Zulah” came from telling my daughter bedtime stories of Princess Zulah and her misadventures. Twenty years later, Zulah Canada was created. At Zulah Canada, we bring gems from all over the world to your doorstep. We connect with artisans, in small communities, that don't mass produce in a factory but in small villages.
