About Pierced Clay Co.

Hi! I'm Adriana, a wife and mama of one. In August 2020, I created Pierced Clay Co. in honor of my son, Pierce. He was born with Down syndrome and a life threatening birth defect that required three surgeries to correct. Due to his condition, I became a stay at home mom in order to take him to all of his therapies/appointments. The first few months of coming to terms with his Down syndrome diagnosis brought many questions to mind. The main one being 'what will my son do for a living?' I wanted to build a business that would not only give me a creative outlet, but also provide an opportunity for my son to one day work for (if he so chooses) and to show him that anything, including creating your own business, is possible. Since starting Pierced Clay Co. I have not only been able to provide extra income to my family, I've also been able to meet every single one of his needs while fulfilling my own desire to be a small business owner.
