About Lydia Meiying

Lydia Meiying is a freelance Pattern Designer and Illustrator based in the sunny city of Manchester, UK. After studying Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at University, Lydia began a bright and colourful journey into the world of all things pattern and textiles, setting off in search of inspiration Lydia found herself working for various design studios designing and drawing from the world around her. Lydia is inspired by children’s stories, fables and the wonders of the natural world. She creates her designs by hand drawing, cutting and collaging, painting and printing before transferring to her computer where her unique designs can become a multitude of beautiful useful items.Read their story
