The word is taken from the Wolof language, which is a language spoken by over 10 million people in West Africa, mainly in Senegal and Gambia, where our first items were produced. Now, all our garments are handmade in Gambia & Ghana by trusted retailers. Our materials are sourced, brought and mostly handmade by local merchants.
