About Shaffay

Shaffay's luxury slippers are designed for elegance and comfort. The brand was launched in 2021 by Anna Elshafei who decided to create her own slippers because she could not find any that were really sleek and stylish enough! Anna wanted to make slippers that would complement the outfits that women wear at home to entertain friends or work-from-home as well as their leisure-, lounge-, and sleepwear. Of course, sleek and stylish were not the only requirements. The slippers had to be super soft but strong, and beautiful but pass the "stair dash test" (that is, stay on the foot). It took a while to get them right. The result is a truly luxe house shoe. Shaffay's first "Signature" collection is made from the softest nappa leather with an even softer fur textile lining, a memory foam footbed and a robust but supple rubber sole. The first four colourways are named for four cities that each have a special meaning and resonance for Anna: Shanghai, Cairo, Paris and London. The charcoal and mustard colourway reflects the streets of London, where Anna grew up. The dark red and blush is named for Shanghai where she lived and worked for over a decade. The pale grey and deep-pink is named for Paris, where a certain couple spent their honeymoon. Finally, the caramel and blue colourway is named for Cairo and reflects the cityscape and skyline of Egypt’s fascinating capital, which Anna particularly loves.
