About Honey & Luster

Honey & Luster is a Kansas City-based lifestyle brand & ceramics studio focused on providing high-quality, handmade objects for the home. Each item is one-of-a-kind, created by coiling and pinching clay into shape, followed by freehand carving and painting the surface. Due to the nature of this process, each object is distinctive and unique. My work leans into this process, celebrating the unique character of each item with respect to pattern, surface, size, shape, and color. Every piece created by Muriel seeks to investigate and enrich the livelihood of its user. I believe we lead happier and more fulfilled lives when we seek to surround ourselves with objects, people, and experiences that we enjoy. My functional wares represent a ritualistic celebration of self–a reminder to slow down and enjoy the present, the people around us, and the world we live in. All Honey & Luster items are handbuilt using locally sourced speckled clay from the Kansas Flint Hills. Read their story
