Ely's Thread was born in 2018 from a joint idea by Paola and Angela Totaro. Lawyer the first, clothing designers the second, Paola and Angela decide to embark on a new adventure, driven by a love for tradition and fashion. “Elizabeth's thread” refers to the unbreakable bond with the family. Elisabetta is the name of their mother and also of Angela's daughter, who arrived just in the year the company was formed. E'ST wants to represent precisely that thread that unites the past and the present. Grandma Paola, created crochet bags for them. Hence the desire to resume some of his models and re-propose them in a contemporary key, distinguishing them with a closure that inevitably refers to the image of the needle and thread. “The project was born from the desire to experiment and get involved alone; not to follow the already marked family path, but to risk something new. We decided to pursue a common passion, although both of us already had very different paths. We discovered together the new models of the big brands by leafing through fashion magazines and looking at the windows of Milan, cultivating the dream of starting a project of our own, one day. We have always had different tastes, sometimes opposite, but, diversity is a richness and has helped us create a simple and refined product with a touch of glamor.” E'st is a 100% Made in Italy project.
