About Mars and moi

Emie is a visual artist and business owner from the BIPOC community based in Montreal, Canada. Her love of color and exploration has led her to open an online wall art store in 2019. Her history with drawing began as a child, where she was inspired by fashion magazines and TV shows with a whimsical or fantastical aspect. Her mother also helped grow her creative world by telling stories of werewolves and voodoo priests from her country, Haiti. ''Something I love about art is that there is no right or wrong answer. It's always a matter of perception. If you connect with the feminine world of Mars and Moi, it may be because the women depicted seem very shameless, maybe it's the uplifting colors, or maybe it's just the story in the composition.'' Emie deeply believes in the power of telling stories through images, and how they can create an environment all their own. She loves to put all her loving energy into her commissions, knowing that the relationship we have with a piece of art is a very emotional one.Read their story
