Georgia Made This is the brand built featuring the artwork of 11-year-old Salem, Massachusetts, artist Georgia Wrenn. Georgia started GMT when she was just six years old, and with the help of her dad, her illustrations are turned into cute and ghoulish products, the sale of which benefit her college fund. Growing up in Salem has given Georgia an affinity for all things creepy and crawly. When she was two, she would ask to visit an animatronic zombie that was featured in a downtown storefront. It was covered in dirt and worms and would vibrate intermittently, and she affectionately named him "Jimmy." When Georgia was six, her dad took three of her drawings: a skull, ghost, and pumpkin, and put them on a t-shirt that read "Salem, Massachusetts." He ordered six dozen shirts without doing the math about how many friends and family members were in the area. Fears of having ordered too many were unfounded when they sold out to tourists in Salem within a weekend. The following year, each illustration returned on its own t-shirts, enamel pins, stickers, and embroidered patches and sold from a converted lemonade stand.
