About Familytree

Hi I’m Alex Pearson the founder of Familytree. I started this business in 2008 as a freelance graphic design and illustration studio. I was a one man show trying to make my way as a creative. In 2010 I made a series of retro styled cryptozoological monster prints with 3 other artists that went semi viral on art blogs of the time (yeah that used to be a thing before social media). We sold out of our first run of 400 prints in just 3 days! I knew right then that my path had changed. Selling prints was the way forward instead of doing client work. Now over a decade later I have my own print shop, a great team helping me, and we have shipped art prints all over the world to over 50,000 happy customers.
