Eastern Collective’s founder, Matt Benedetto, learned to hand crochet winter beanies for other skiers at his home resort in upstate New York. Slowly he began creating custom one off hats for customers all over the world through the first Eastern Collective website. With an extensive background in designing apparel and working with different fabric applications, Eastern Collective developed their signature woven fabric charging cable. By mixing textiles and technology, Eastern Collective developed a new product category within the growing smartphone accessory market. Eastern Collective continued to develop and design new products that mix fashion and function in the form of smartphone cases, headphones, and more. At the end of 2013, GQ Magazine named our Lightning Charging Cables one of the Best Products of the Year.
