Corsiglia is a family business that was founded in 1896. The founder, Giovanni Battista Rafetto opened the first store selling Marrons Glacés in New York City. He was later joined by his wife, Nicoletta Corsiglia, and her nephew, André Corsiglia. After training under his uncle for several years, André settled in Marseille in 1896. There, he introduced the production of these glazed candied chesnuts in France. Since then, Corsiglia has been run by six generations of family members who continue to maintain the artisanal process of making premium fruit products. It is a recognized brand, known for its excellent service and wide range of premium products, supplying the most famous pastry chefs in the world. Corsiglia continues to select the finest AOP chestnuts from Turin, which are all additive- and preservative-free.
