About Herbally Grounded

Angela Harris, our founder, is a fifth generation Herbalist from the Southwestern United States. In the mid 1990s she was diagnosed with lymphoma while pregnant with her sixth child. This experience led her to a deeper study of this enduring family tradition as she sought ways to deliver a healthy baby. She was unable to find reliable educational materials and experienced difficulty locating sources of many of the herbs she wanted to use. After delivering a healthy daughter, she and her husband Curtiss realized it was their calling to create the space they needed so that other herbalists could access the education and resources for them and their families as well. In 2004, Angela and Curt opened the original Herbally Grounded store on Charleston Boulevard in Las Vegas. Since then, they have witnessed the power of herbs and natural living with everything from serious illness to sniffly noses and sought ways to share what they were learning with their community through Herbally Grounded. In 2017 they left Herbally Grounded to found HerbU, an educational platform to teach others how to incorporate this lost wisdom. After over a decade of helping manage the operations, Curt and Angela’s daughter Emma and her husband Jon took over Herbally Grounded and are expanding on the family’s legacy. Their goal is to grow and open up more Herbally Grounded stores across the valley.
