About Matthew Allen Art

Matthew Allen is a multi-disciplinary artist from Southern California. A former Surfer Magazine Art Director, Matthew's artwork is inspired by his time spent in nature, and his boundless curiosity, which leads him to consistently explore new mediums and means of expression. Matthew began making art in high school after suffering a seizure while surfing in Hawaii. Ordered out of the water for over a year he used the down time to foster his creative gifts. When he’s not making art, taking photos, or traveling the world showing his art, Matthew loves to spend time surfing, making music, and spending time with kids. Matthew has successfully sold his art at select retailers in California, Hawaii, and Japan for years, and is now looking to expand to more doors.Read their story
