About The Wild Spark

Hi there! We're Amy and James. We live in the beautiful wilds of Scotland with our son Alfie. We wanted to combine the knowledge of our lifelong careers and our passion for working in the countryside to develop a project to help families enjoy and learn more about the world around them. Adventures start as soon as you step out of the door, no matter where you live. We want to give you the tools to learn more about our native wildlife and enjoy the great outdoors together. Our books and resources are designed and created at home by ourselves. We aim to inspire families across the UK to be creative and adventurous wherever their wild space is - a garden, a park, a local forest or field, the seaside or the mountains. When we set up The Wild Spark we knew that we wanted to try to operate with as little impact to the planet as possible. Our books and other resources are printed on FSC certified paper, which is made of responsibly sourced wood fiber. Our packaging is made from recycled materials, as well as being sustainable and carbon neutral. Through Greenspark, we plants 1 tree, remove 5 plastic bottles from the ocean and offset 5kg of CO2 for each order. These small actions help us to care for the wonderful world we all share and we are constantly looking for other ways to give back to our world.Read their story
