Kostumari is a brand of handmade swimwear, crafted with care in Sicily by local seamstresses. Each swimsuit is a unique piece that tells the story of the sun, the sea waves, the shining majolica, and the warm and enveloping colors. Every single piece is conceived by us, from start to finish: the designs of the models and patterns, the fabrics, the colors, and the packaging. Our story began in 2018: Erika had started drawing again, her dream had always been the fashion world despite life and work having taken her elsewhere. Giorgia, upon seeing the sketches of some swimsuits, suggested having them made by the seamstress who sewed the stage costumes for her dance school. Maurizio immediately took an interest in the project and encouraged us to pursue it. While we were in a bar, he drew the logo on a paper tablecloth, and from that moment on, we never stopped. It has been an incredible adventure that still amazes and motivates us today! The shared desire to create a project linked to our homeland, despite our different personalities and opposite life paths, pushed us to go beyond to realize our dreams. The name Kostumari, from the typical Sicilian phrase... “co stu mare” (with this sea) evokes the eternal magic of our land and our islands, the Egadi. This is why purchasing Kostumari means becoming part of the world we have created and sharing our passion.
