About The Laugh Depot

My name is Alexis and from a young age, I've been the girl trying to make people laugh. I've always had a passion for creating things. The creation story of my first board game "License to Laugh" is as fun as the game itself. I was stuck in a carpool with coworkers, 6 days a week on our commute to and from our job. The monotonous traffic filled mornings and evenings became a blur as you can imagine and we began to dread them. That's when we started playing a popular road trip game. Taking the 3 letters on license plates and turning them into a phrases. Our car rides began to be filled with laughter as we became more and more creative with it. I knew others would enjoy playing this game the way we did, but no one wants to sit in traffic to play a game. That's when I had to brainstorm a way to get this game turned into a tabletop version. So that's just what I did, but I revamped the entire thing to make it even more addicting. After months of design work, testing, and creating fun new rules, License to Laugh was born and it's been a hit by everyone who's played it since.Read their story
