Olivia Jeffries’ designs are inspired by universal motifs and organic textures which have evolved through years of creative practice. The process of creating each design is expressive and improvised. Components are created and laid out on the workbench, spontaneous textures are added to surfaces with beloved vintage tools or gas torch. Olivia seeks to find interesting opportunities and dualities within the combinations and strike a balance between the masculine and feminine. These pieces appeal to those who adore the beauty and duality of an object being both timeworn yet modern. A graduate of Norwich University of the Arts Olivia specialised in Fine Art printmaking with a passion for painting and is a self taught jewellery maker. Olivia’s creative practice is varied and incorporates mixed media art, jewellery, textiles and block printing. The purpose of her practice is to explore the possibilities of weaving these seemingly diverse aspects together. Her work with metal evolved out of exploring 3D forms in ceramic and wood and has become an integral part of her creative practice.
