About YUTE

Tania is a native of Mexico City, living in Manchester and founder of Yute. Yute originated from the idea of trading directly with Mexican indigenous artists and bringing their craft into the UK. I believe Mexican indigenous art is structurally devaluated across the industry and, from the start, we wanted to do it differently. We offer a homeware collection of handmade cotton hammocks, wool rugs, and cushions. All items in our shop are made in Mexico by artisan hands, by giving credit to the artists you can trace the origin and creator of every piece, so you’ll know you are getting the real thing.
