About Alfresco

In 1996, Alfresco was established by Sarah-Lou Morris, an accomplished entrepreneur who had previously co-founded and sold a successful global fashion brand. During the hot and humid summer of that year, Sarah-Lou was enjoying retirement and volunteering at London's historic 300-year-old Chelsea Physic Garden. However, she found herself frequently troubled by insect bites. When she sought an insect repellent, she was unable to find one that was both pleasant-smelling and free from harmful chemicals. Determined to solve the issue, Sarah-Lou took matters into her own hands. She came out of retirement and partnered with a distinguished British perfume house, founded in 1730, to create Alfresco's signature formula blend that remains the foundation of the brand's success today.Read their story
