About Flowerness Farm

Flowerness Farm is a sanctuary for art and creativity in Brimfield, Massachusetts, founded by the artist, Melinda Kirkpatrick, and her partner, Doug Kirkpatrick, who is a writer. Melinda grew up in central Massachusetts surrounded by beautiful flower gardens cultivated by her mother, who is also an artist. Melinda uses a unique sense of color and natural and whimsical design to create charming and evocative images rooted in New England history and literature. Her paintings often include descriptive captions or quotes from literature, or even Doug's poetry. Melinda is also working on an illustrated book series with Doug, about mermaids, which they like to call a romance between art and the written word. Melinda's art has attained grassroots popularity, and now appears in select stores across New England. Read their story
