In Our Name is a modern lifestyle brand born from Africa’s colour, creativity, and soul. We make clothes that don’t just look good - they carry stories, uplift communities, and prove that slow fashion can be as bold as it is responsible. Our founder, Liza, grew up in Kenya, where vibrant community and resourcefulness shaped her view of what fashion could be. Years of working across global retail and sourcing showed her the gap - beautifully made, African-produced fashion rarely reached the international stage. In Our Name was created to close that gap and give African craftsmanship the visibility it deserves. Using only eco-materials, every piece is crafted in Kenya, merging contemporary design with artisanal skill. We work directly with makers and small producers, providing mentorship, training, and fair wages. Through our Full Circle Initiative, we reinvest in the very communities who bring our collections to life - funding skills, tools, and opportunities that keep craft alive. And impact runs through every thread. With each purchase, you can help us fight period poverty through MWALI, our project that repurposes fabric waste into reusable pads for girls across Kenya.
